Scope: James and Son were employed by Skanska to carry out the design and installation of the Drylining, Shaftwalls, Suspended Ceilings and GRG works to the entire Building.

Description:

1 New Street Square is a £177m office development in London EC4.

The building provides 275,000 sq ft of office and ancillary space over ground, upper ground and 14 office floors and will achieve the BREEAM Excellent environmental standard.

Our works included the installation of drywall and shaftwall partitions plus plasterboard MF ceilings throughout the core and WC areas which incorporated recessed shadow gap details throughout.

The staircase walls and ceilings were both drylined and plastered.

We carried out a total of 267no circular GRG columns to the office floor plate and bespoke GRG domed ceiling's to both Node's of the building, on every floor.
We also manufactured and installed two bespoke GRG curved wall lining's and sloping domed ceiling's to the two very top node's of the building and a PGRG soffit above the entrance area
